Before a field trip is planned, it is important for the teacher to decide where the students should be brought to. Ideally, they can be brought to a farmhouse where a large number of animals and plants are available; this is the place where children can get a chance to observe nature closely and to breathe in fresh air while enjoying their favorite games and plays. It is no wonder that school principals and boards have become cautious when it comes to planning a field trip. They are usually afraid of litigation, and school administrators hardly permit a trip that seems to be risky or dangerous to them.
Briefing Parents and Children
This field trip will begin with briefing parents about its significance and preparing children for the visit. The teacher should talk to them about where they are going and why, what is the timing and day, when they will go, what they should bring to the field, what is the importance of this trip and how to connect it to the classroom learning. Students should also be taught how to explore, hear and smell different things on the farm, how to behave when they are around animals and in open areas, and how to avoid dangerous situations.
Understanding the World of Plants
