Cooperative learning is an effective learning approach that promotes positive relationships among those with learning disabilities; the role of cooperative learning is yet to be recognized as an affected way of academic achievement among individuals with learning disabilities. According to Sencibaugh, J. M., & Sencibaugh, A. M. (2016). An analysis of cooperative learning approaches for students with learning disabilities, the authors presents a study that reviews the benefits of cooperative learning by analyzing research studies from 2000-to 2014.
The study results indicate that cooperative learning that incorporate activities like includes cross-aged tutoring, both structured and unstructured, peer teaching or peer mediated processes will improve academic outcomes among students struggling and those with low academic achievement (Sencibaugh & Sencibaugh, 2016).
