Assessment Description
All assignments in this course are cumulative. Each part is necessary to go onto the next and complete the final research paper. After you receive feedback and approval for your topic, you will broaden your understanding of the matter and synthesize the results into a proposal for research.
A literature review section of a research paper helps to give context for the relevance and particular conceptual focus of your study. It is important to make sure that your literature review is not just a technical reporting of what other researchers have done before. Instead, it needs to be a creative organization of past findings that creates a frame or foundational context for your argument or research focus. In order to accomplish this, in 1,000-1,500 words, you will need to:
Synthesize key results themes from academic journal articles
Compare and contrast methods/approaches found in your research.
Explain how these findings inform your research question(s) and hypothesis(es).
Include your research question(s) and hypothesis(es).
A minimum of 10 research articles are necessary.
All of the references for this assignment must come from peer-reviewed academic journals.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Innovation and its Positive role in Modern Communication
This paper seeks to examine the positive role of innovation in modern communication. Modern communication uses mobile phones, emails, and videos to connect with people using technological advancement tools like Facebook and Twitter. Thus, the research question is how innovation has positively influenced modern communication? The central hypothesis is that innovation and technological changes such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube have simplified communication between individuals, reduced boredom, effectively enhanced relations, and created employment for people. Also, modern communication has increased the accountability of government organizations and civil servants. In addition, innovation has dramatically influenced how business and advertisement are conducted. Notably, my research is qualitative. Thus, it involves analyzing reports, articles, and other sources to obtain primary and secondary data.
Literature Review
Technological innovation has effectively enhanced human communication allowing connection across cures, continents, and communities. With the increasing changes and advancements in technology, interactions have been made easier and more accessible. According to Karim (2020), 3.484 billion people worldwide use social media daily and hourly, making it the fastest and most innovative tool for communication. Human beings are social creatures and need intimacy with others to progress. Thus, interacting and connecting with others reduces stress, depression, sadness, and anxiety.
Digital Communication has evolved from traditional communication, which did not use innovation, nor was it complex. For example, Ugboajah (1982) found that different traditional groups used tools such as smoke and signals to send a message. Others used messengers to deliver information physically, which took time to be delivered. While interviewing and questioning some people, he found out that other communities used talking drums to communicate. Different patterns meant different messages. Through time, communication evolved from using phones and posters to convey messages to what is today digital communication.
In addition, innovation through social media has improved communication and made people miles apart to communicate efficiently through Facebook, Twitter, and other tools (Osterrieder, 2013). Notably, empirical studies show that social media bring people and information together compared to the past. Also, it has created awareness and presented more insight into what is happening worldwide and, in solidarity, made the universe a global village (Osterrieder, 2013). In addition, Instagram, mainly used by millennials, shares the experiences of panoramic photos and videos of beautiful destinations, food eaten, traveling, and funny moments to keep young people engaged (Osterrieder, 2013). Thus, social media accommodates every age gap, making interactions more...
