Project Management Structure: SOTA Technology
Introduction
The Project Manager and R&D team of SOTA Technology believe that they have come up with a technology that is affordable, and will help in tripling the memory capacity and processor speed in all smartphones, including iPhones. Currently, there is nothing else in the market which equals this technology. The skunk works project is coded BYFM (Blow Your Freakin Mind. Given the opportunity to recommend the most appropriate project management structure, the project-oriented organization structure would be the ideal choice due to its being organized.

This is because the manager would not need to seek approvals from other stakeholders, which would otherwise slow down the process (George, 2020). In addition, the structure would ensure easy and effective communication within the project team, and would allow the project team members to get more experience as they would work on different functions. Communication is effective because communication channels are open and communication routes are shorter. As such, efficient communication would ensure effective project implementation.
Further, the structure would position the project manager to take control of the various functions of the project. For instance, the project manager would be accountable if adequate market search is not conducted to establish whether or not the idea is viable. Although the i...
