Chapter 12 and 13 Reflection
In chapter 12, Implementing Big Data and Big Data Analytics, I have learned that Big Data does not make it easy for marketers to reach out to potential customers. All phases of data analysis, namely problem definition, data collection, application of the relevant algorithm, and implementing the appropriate solution, ought to be followed correctly (Grigsby, 2018). Since Big Data means bringing multiple sources or structures together to make proper decisions, the data gathered should be meaningful to address the problem at hand. I have realized that not all data sets should be included in the Big Data. For example, if marketers want to collect data about the consumer behavior of a specific demographic, the best way to achieve that would be to research the favorite social media platforms for the target population. By doing so, they can collect data, analyze, and interpret it to identify the most appropriate solutions or marketing channels to use.
