A driverless car also called an autonomous car, an auto self-driving car or a robotic car is a type of vehicle that has the capability of perceiving its environment and traversing without human involvement (Islam, 2017). To achieve this, each car is usually equipped with a GPS element and an array of sensors including laser rangefinders, video, and radar. Driverless cars are bound to have numerous advantages, such as improving road safety, cutting down on fuel consumption and easing of traffic snarl-ups.
