I think that Mark Rosekind, being the man that he is, was ultimately passionate about giving people an emphasis on the benefits of being alert and conscious in making the world a better and safer place to live in. he describes distracted driving as a “crisis” because he perceives the source of distraction which is the technological devices like our cellphones and tablets and critical to the situation of life and death in the road environment. I believe that looking at distracted driving as a crisis is a step closer to minimizing the loss of life in related incidents by instilling in the people the crucial aspect of being alert.

The main idea in the section mainly persist to educate about the direct relation of the popularity of the use of internet in mobile devices and the number of people who die in road accidents. Authorities are relating this “surging number” to the increasing number of people who are distracted mainly by their own devices.
