Duchamp is one of the most exciting artists we covered during the photo session. One of the reasons why I liked his work the most is because he was ready to challenge the standard modes of production that people were used to seeing (Ray, 2022). I liked that he was prepared to introduce something new to photo history. Duchamp distanced himself from the traditional modes of painting in an attempt to emphasize the conceptual value of the work of art.
Bruce Nauman is yet another artist that I found to be very interesting. Nauman was from UC Davis. I liked his artwork because, just like Duchamp, Nauman also challenged the traditional role of artists (Art Story, 2022).
