Global Warming and Climate Impacts
My recent research about climate change and global warming has been informative and life-changing. It enabled me to understand the magnitude of environmental destruction and the associated ramifications affecting different populations across the globe. The inputs of diverse stakeholders also revealed that every person plays a significant role in worsening the situation and that if people fail to recognize the importance of behavioral change, the world will grapple with far worse natural hazards in the future. In most cases, learners interact with data about ongoing occurrences in their studies and ignore them as incidences beyond their control or downplay them. Others forget and transition to their routine lives due to the perception that the learnings were just a part of completing their academic requirements. However, since interacting with more comprehensive information about this concept, I have become more conscious and concerned about my role in contributing to the ongoing efforts to make a positive difference in global warming.
Although I have not directly encountered an extreme climatic weather pattern, the ravaging disasters at the global level have made me a concerned individual. Reading about people grappling with hunger in the Middle East, Africa, and even parts of European and western countries has enabled me to realize that climate change is a reality. It is devastating to see images of emaciated people on social and mainstream media.
