Many actors have expressed their concerns about the gradually worsening environmental conditions, yet responsible institutions and governments continue to ignore the seriousness of the matter. Vinod Thomas is one of the leading advocators of ecological protection who has demonstrated his interest in the issue since his early working days at the World Bank. His exposure to the ravaging statistics of extreme weather changes and other hydrometeorological outcomes drew his attention to global warming, prompting him to become a leading advocator for coordinated and collaborated changes to address the problem (Thomas, 2017). Thomas’s understanding of the climate change trends and the causative factors enabled him to recognize that corporations will continue to release waste into the environment without persistent advocacy.
