* Internal Social Audit. This step looks back at the past to assess any improvements that need to be effected.
* Define Target or Targets. This will point out the particular customers or the market that you are focusing on to purchase the product or service.
* Define Brand Voice. This involves how the organization communicates with the customers.
* Define Objectives. To explain the focal point the organization is aiming at with the social media strategy in a given time.
* Develop Strategy by Channel. To put the organization’s focus on the channels that are ideal for its product and audience.

It is the monitoring of the social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, for mentions or any sort of conversation about an organization’s brands, after which an analysis is undertaken to discover insightful content to unearth an opportunity to act. The social channels that can avail such data are Youtube, Twitter, and relatively small channels which are not private.

You can identify your brand’s strengths and the weaknesses that the organization ought to address. In addition, you can also identify the customer needs based on their conversations. Examples are influencer and audience identification.
