I take the audience into account in the early stages of writing. This involves either mentioning the audience or introducing specific factors that relate to the audience in the introduction and thesis statement. Identifying the audience in the early stages of writing determines the content that will appear in the other parts of the piece of writing while also helping the writer to adapt to the level that the audience understands (Meyers, p 51). However, the presentation and adaptation of the content related to the audience will vary depending on whether the essay is a persuasive essay, argumentative essay, or a research paper.
