In the joint military operation, functions of the Joint Force Air Component Commander (JFACC) to plan, allocate, offer oversight, and provide recommendations how air assets are used (Air Force et al., 2019). Personnel from diverse functional areas, such as intelligence, operations, logistics, and communications, make up the JFACC workforce. These staff employees help the JFACC plan and carry out air operations. They also contribute to coordinating activities with other components of the joint force and with other organizations. The Commander of the Air Force (COMAFFOR) is the military officer in charge of the organization and conduct of air operations within a given geographical area. The COMAFFOR staff includes personnel with functional areas comparable to those of the JFACC staff. The staff assists the COMAFFOR in the planning and execution of air operations.
