There are several new things that I have been surprised to learn from this video. First, although I knew that Jesus performed various miracles, I was surprised to learn several dimensions of those miracles from the video. For instance, the video notes that people who had leprosy were greatly feared in society. As a result of this fear, they were ostracized and were not allowed to participate in the Jewish community's social processes. By healing these people, Jesus enabled them to socialize with other people and took their shame away (Vimeo, 2022). Such healing was a thing that was never heard of in the Jewish community. The second thing that surprised me concerns exorcising of demons. Despite having known that Jesus drove out demons, I learned from the video that the process was violent. It is surprising that Jesus always won whenever it came to exorcising demons. It simply means that he has authority that is greater than any other entity. 
Thirdly, I am surprised by learning the essence of Jesus's miracles. Despite knowing that Jesus performed miracles, I have never posed to seriously think why Jesus performed them. Through the video, I have learned that one of the reasons was to show the presence and the coming of the kingdom of God. The other reason was to stamp the authority of Jesus.
