Every religion has a cosmology/cosmogony to explain its view of the universe and the place of humans in it. Explain the cosmology/cosmogony for this week’s religion. Explain how it is manifested in the subsequent worldview that develops for that religion.

Christians believe that God created the universe in six days and he rested on the seventh day. The universe and everything in it was created by God. It is the same reason why Christians work six days and then rest on the ‘seventh’ day of the week which is normally either on Saturday (Seventh Day Adventist Church) or Sunday.

Christianity is a monotheistic religion and Christians believe they are descendants of God’s creation through Adam and Eve. Christians have diverse perception of the deity. Some believe God exists in trinity awhile others do not such as Jehovah’s Witness. With the over 43000 denominations existing today, the view of the deity is varied among Christians. According to Christians, he is the undisputed creator of the universe and everything in it. His power is manifested in the way the universe is created.
