Bible Study Project: Four Questions for Application
OVERVIEW
During this project, the student will complete four assignments using the techniques of observation, interpretation, correlation, and application. These are the four components of inductive Bible study outlined in Everyday Bible Study. Among other things, the student will examine a given passage of Scripture, consult various Bible study tools, and employ the structure as well as techniques detailed in the Everyday Bible Study text.

Using the correct and provided templates, inductively study the given passage. Please be sure to pay attention to the specific instructions for each section in the templates so that the answers provided are correct, complete and sufficiently detailed.

Passage: Acts 9:36-43
* What points of application can be made using the “Four Questions for Application?” State and explain 1 point of application for each of these four questions. Your explanation for each of these points should be 1 paragraph (150-300 words) in length.
1 The question of duty
The element of duty is conspicuous in the story of Tabitha. The book of 1 Peter 4:10 shows that one of the paramount duties Christians are charged with is using whatever gifts they have to serve others. Undeniably, Tabitha did precisely what the Bible encourages. We gather from the Bible that she was endowed with the gift of knitting. Instead of selling the garments, she knitted to make profits; she elected to donate them to the poor, including the widows. That way, she impacted the lives of many people prodigiously. Christians should learn from Tabitha and emulate her by using their gifts to serve others. They should understand that the kind acts they do, however insignificant they might seem, mean a great deal to the beneficiaries. In addition, Christians should not let anything stand in their way of serving others. By all indications, Tabitha may not have been a wealthy woman, yet that did not preclude her from helping the poor.
2 The question of character
Times without number, the Bible urges Christians to embrace good character. For instance, in the book of proverbs 22:1, the Bible categorically states that a good name is better than riches. It goes ahead to declare that the value of favor surpasses that of gold and silver. Tabitha must have encountered these precious words in her life. She was privy to the fact that earning a good name was better than owning the whole world. That constrained her to zealously make every effort to earn a good reputation by selflessly serving the less fortunate. As a result, her neighbors and the church vest...
