Children's development of the social and cognitive skills necessary for their success in learning institutions can be supported by how their parent raises them. Parents play a significant role during early childhood since the experiences they offer their kids may reinforce and foster healthy development. If I was a guest lecturer for parents of young kids, there are numerous integral issues of parenting that I would like to communicate to the parents to ensure they can apply them in their parenting. These aspects are vital in fostering the early childhood experiences of the kids, thus facilitating their development.
One important thing is for the parent to teach self-control to their children. Self-control is essential as the children make informed decisions and react to stressful scenarios in an effective way that can contribute to affirmative results (O'Donnell, 2018). For instance, if you assert that your kids will only get ice cream once they finish their dinner, they may cry or even scream to make you have mercy and allow them to take the ice. However, self-control helps the child to understand that temper can make you remove the ice for good, and the best way is to wait tolerantly.
