Early childhood education encompasses various educational and developmental experiences for children aged from birth to around eight years old, in both formal and informal settings. Its purpose is to create a supportive and enriching environment that fosters the holistic growth of children, including their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and creative aspects (Russel, 2022). The primary aim is to lay a solid foundation for future academic endeavors and equip children with essential skills to overcome life's obstacles (Russel, 2022).
Children's development is a complex and dynamic process influenced by genetics, environment, and social interactions. It encompasses physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and creative dimensions. While following predictable stages, each child has unique traits, requiring individualized support and developmental opportunities. Children learn through exploration, play, and meaningful interactions, benefiting from active involvement, analytical thinking, hands-on experiences, and self-expression. Play fosters creativity, problem-solving, cooperation, and self-regulation skills.
