PDCA Learning Cycle
The PDCA cycle is a strategy organizations use to solve problems to achieve change and improve operations and products. The cycle has four stages: planning, execution, monitoring, and assessing (Schwalbe, 2019). Planning involves developing a detailed list of technical stories and tasks that should be completed in a sprint. This helps in establishing what every given sprint can achieve, going by the availability of team members on every day of the sprint. During planning, developers can create a product backlog which will facilitate prioritizing the most important functions. Planning also enables the team to evaluate and bring up-to-date capacity estimates versus the actual ones (Schwalbe, 2019).
