I remember a time when I was chosen to be a team leader in a math’s contest event in our school. We were a team of five members and we had a week to prepare for the contest. Being a team leader I always organize for study materials and venue after classes. I would initiate and lead group discussions. I always motivated other team members not to skip preparations even during busy school days. During the contest we emerged the first runners-up in a contest of 10 participants. My team members were so elated that the hard work paid off.

I remember over the holidays, while in the company of younger cousins, my aunt asked me to look after them while she ran some errands. I was to ensure that the kids studied and finished their assignments before my aunty came back. Kids being were so playful and became so unruly. Instead of studying, they opted to play video games.
