Foundations of Leadership in Life

Coursework Instructions:

Every student in this course will finish that sentence in her or his own way. This is your week to put it all together. In your final project, you will provide a summative statement about the leadership skills you have studied. This project can serve as a Personal Leadership Best Practices Manual that you can refer to long after you have left the course. You will also be reflecting on the lessons in leadership that have been covered in this course, and you will assess how they may have impacted your approach to leading.
Make sure to read the assigned articles dealing with the characteristics of great leaders. You might consider adopting those that suit you (if you haven't already). Additionally you will view a lecture from Jim Kouzes, one of the leading thinkers in transformational leadership. You have come a long way and should have a good foundation in leadership to build upon and practice in the future.
The last word is yours. Complete this week's quotation and provide your perspective on leadership. In what ways has your perspective changed since you began the course? Was there any approach to leadership particularly resonated with you? What skills from the course might be useful to you in your professional life?
