Politics

The political structure includes the elected official, public officials, and political parties, among others. The ruling class including the wealthy tends to have more influence on policies. The political class tends to be more influential when the economy is performing well.

The economic structure tends to influence economic and political change where economic policies adopted reflect the visions of the political leaders and how they seek to transform the society. The success and perceived lack of effectiveness in economic policies such as tax cuts and regulation affect support and opposition against such policies. Economic power is closely linked to politics since in democratic society and free market economy those with opportunity have a greater chance to improve their social mobility and it is one man one vote system

There is focus on voting to elect their preferred candidates who represent the community’s position. Support for policies that advance the community’ interests including organizations and lobbying. Holding the political power brokers accountable through focus on transparency, checks and balances to ensure there is no abuse of power.

Technology has improved political mobilization. Information technology tools have been used to spread false information through targeted political advertising. Using technology among the electorates allows them to engage with political leaders and seek answers on political accountability.

Marriage and Family

The economy influences marriage and family, as people are more likely to marry when they can afford. On the other hand, a deteriorating economy causes hardships and social problems, with fewer people able to afford the basic needs. An improved economy makes it easier to raise a larger family with fewer hardships.

The two-biological-parent families thrive better in a strong economy.
Lack of financial resources put a strain on marriages and family. An improved economy is associated with higher levels of marriage, which in turn leads to less child poverty.

The community influences perceptions on public support for marriage and family. The two-biological-parent homestead provides a stable environment for children to grow and thrive. The community i...
