Decision 3-1
Ethics are principles that govern and guide a person's behavior and way of doing things. Being ethical entails following the right principles in any organization or entity. Being ethical ensures that basic human needs are satisfied, and fair practices are observed. Secondly, being ethical builds and creates credibility and boosts an organization’s reputation in society. Thirdly, following ethical guidelines improves decision-making processes and unites leaders and all people. Everyone has unique ethical standards that lead to different ways of tackling and handling situations. Different people may have different ethical standards depending on the society and families they grew up in, their sense of morality, and the rules laid out for them in their respective workplaces and dwelling places. Two people can be in a similar position in a professional environment yet hold different ethical standards.
Integrity generally entails being honest and possessing robust moral principles. It is an essential quality in leadership since it boosts the relationship between leaders and their followers. Leaders who demonstrate optimal integrity are more likely to gain the trust of their employees. Trust creates a productive environment that draws more clients and profits and makes the world better. It is possible to be a leader without integrity and morals. However, being a successful leader without integrity and morals is impossible. Integrity and morals are the building blocks of any successful leadership or management role.
