The primary function of the job description paper is to increase understanding of your current, or a prospective, position. The following areas of the job description should be considered:
•Tasks,
•Tools and Technology,
•Knowledge,
•Skills and Abilities,
•Educational Requirements.
Submit a paper in which you describe each of the above mentioned areas of the job description from the vantage point of your chosen position. Provide two or more ways that you would advertise or recruit someone for that position (see chapter 4 of the textbook). In addition, include a description of at least two methods of assessment used when recruiting qualified candidates and why these two assessment methods would be most appropriate.
Writing the Job Description Paper:
•Must be two double-spaced pages in length, excluding the cover page and reference page, and formatted according to APA style as outlined in your approved style guide. 
•Must include a cover page that includes:
◦Name of paper
◦Student's name
◦Course number and name
◦Instructor's name
◦Date submitted
•Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.
•Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
•Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.
•Must use APA style as outlined in your approved style guide to document all sources.
•Must include, on the final page, a Reference List that is completed according to APA style as outlined in your approved style guide and has at least one reference in addition to the text.

The prospective job in question is that of a project manager. This job entails a number of duties which the prospective applicant has to fully satisfy. The five most important parameters used to evaluate this are; the tasks to be done, the tools and technology, knowledge, skills and abilities, and educational requirements.
* Tasks
The main task of a project manager is coordinating and implementation of projects, planning and forecasting.
* Tools and Technology.
In the present age, technology plays a very big role in the running of projects. From the planning, scheduling and execution, technology is vital. The project manager needs to have some technological ability, such as the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other simulation software.
* Knowledge.
The project manager should be knowledgeable enough in matters concerning project management. He or she should have at least some idea about a number of projects that can be done. This would help ensure that the individual fits in seamlessly in any of the projects that might come up, or might require very little time to get oriented.
* Skills and Abilities.
To be a good project manager, one needs to have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. This is because project management relies heavily on issuance of instructions and feedback among various personnel. This cannot be possible if there is some breakdown in communication. To be a proficient and efficient project manager, technical skills are a must (Kerzner, 2009).Project management involves implementation of laid down procedures .Putting plans into work. This would need some degree of keenness from the manager. Identifying any flaws or loopholes that might hamper the progress of the project essentially is a big boon .Finally; the project manager should have the ability to multitask.
