The nursing profession is rooted in the foundation of the science of caring for human health. To be able to contribute, nurses must instill the responsibility and capacity of a professional in influencing the future and present healthcare delivery system. The nursing profession functions in a way in which all people are valued holistically and seek to improve and enhance their health and wellness across various levels of society. To accomplish these goals, programs and policies exist to identify and incorporate proper standards for high-quality delivery of care and in addressing conditions to make that care possible.
