Parental Incarceration
Unprecedented statistics of children undergo parental incarceration universally. Families and kids of prisoners may undergo multiple complications after the parental incarceration, comprising traumatic split-up, unbalanced childcare arrangements, stigma, cheap income, plus neighborhood moves (Armstrong et al., 2018). Incarceration may refer to imprisonment in prisons or jails. Hence, when well defined, parental incarceration may refer to any custodial imprisonment of a father or mother by the law systems, excluding being detained overnight in police jail. Parental incarceration and family relationship disruption may result in negative results for children (as seen in Selene's Story), comprising poor academic performance, poverty, substance abuse, crime, and aggression (Arditti, 2018). Over time, efforts have intensified at the global level to make policies precisely geared towards tackling the young kids of incarcerated parents. Some policies attempt to ameliorate the pregnant women treatment, mothers with children and nursing mothers; other policies try to inspire the delivery of better conditions, like the kindergartens and nurseries and specially trained staff, for the kids; still, some policies attempt to encourage healthier hygiene and a healthier environment generally (Phillips, 2017). Additionally, there exist trends urging the incarceration of mothers only as a last option and that fathers' requires to be with their young kids be taken into consideration.
However, the policies that I think should be implemented include allowing kids to stay with their fathers or mothers in jail, whether or not in special amenities. There should be a protective sentence policy, comprising deferment of a custodial sentence and home imprisonment when dealing with an individual who has a young kid been put in place. What is meant by an ecological systems framework? Amongst the most recognized clarifications of this is Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory, which concerns the influence of social surroundings on human growth. This theory debates that the surroundings you raised in effects each facet of someone's life. Social factors control your manner of thinking, the felt emotions, together with the likes and dislikes. If you alter your surroundings, you'll also change (Governale, 2019). ...
