Reintegration of Veterans
The reintegration of veterans into family life is characterized by mental health problems and other stressors that make it challenging to associate with their families. The mental problems are caused by the traumatizing events that the veterans might have experienced while in deployment. They are also caused by the struggles to fit back into their families. For instance, if the veteran realizes that their spouse has been cheating, it can be a major stressor factor that threatens the family's unity. The struggle to interact with their children also presents a major stressor factor because they are not used to having the parent around (Marek, et.al., 2012). Such means that the parent will have a difficult time understanding their child's behavior and interests. If the parents do not get the necessary support from their families, the chances of falling into a depression are high.
