From the readings, I resonate with the quote that teachers play a crucial role in the development of emergent writing of 3-to-5 years children by encouraging them to record their ideas and communicate their thought. Growing up, I struggled with writing, but my kindergarten teacher was very supportive and my favorite to date. She would sit with me and encourage me to decorate what was written in my book with crayons. From the reading, I learned that teachers are key instruments in the reading and writing of children.
