Based on the data, it was clear that faculty members had differing perspectives on how nursing students should learn. There should not be standardized learning because of the different factors affecting different campuses. The professors utilize different teaching philosophies based on their values, beliefs, and experiences. While embracing diversity in instruction is essential, it can also be a menace because it leads to a fractured teaching system. This can be detrimental to the college because nursing is a profession that requires standard approaches and evidence-based techniques. Therefore, it is essential to have an organized system that ensures consistency in delivering course materials. Many students perceive lecturers as very disorganized, which underscores the need to create consistent frameworks for teaching nursing students.
While the challenges were acknowledged, the alumni of JCN appreciated the teaching methods applied within the class. Most of them noted that they received sufficient support during their time in college. The faculty members were always available to guide them and show them in the right direction. There were also opportunities to have conversations with teachers and professors, which connected the students and faculty members. The discussions were also beneficial to the students and professors equally. The insight gained from students informs the teaching approaches to be followed and what needs to be done to achieve the learning objectives.
