A budget is an estimate drawn to plan the expenditure based on expected income. For a given month, one has to estimate income and expenses. Budgeting helps one cover most of the costs using the available income monthly or yearly. A budget should be balanced: income should equal the expenses/expenditure (Konopczyński, 2021). It should list all items needed by focusing on those with the highest priority and include savings to avoid problems in the future.
