Managers have an important role to play in an organization. Besides acting as the authoritative figure, managers also motivate employees to facilitate the attainment of organizational goals. Managers can have a great influence on the employees' job satisfaction to an extent that cannot be matched by the motivation employee gain through financial compensation (Panait & Panait, 2018). Employees are social beings and they appreciate some sort of support such as a mere thank you, quick and positive feedback, an element of trust, and the feeling of being part of the decision-making process.
