Duke University Career Centre remains one of the efficient online career centers that offer students an opportunity to delve into their careers and jobs that suit their abilities, skills, and personalities in light of the rapidly growing economy that has shifted focus on online career enhancement (A Career & Learning Resource Guide, 2016). The facility makes contributions to the learning community by engaging the alumni’s and students through an ongoing examination and evaluation for what is valuable and meaningful in their lives. In other words, the career centre grants individuals opportunities that enable them explore the manner in which they can interact with their goals, education, values, experiences and skills with the aim of establishing their aspirations.
The institution provides support to career development processes, thus partnering with individuals in developing effective action plans that are essential in accomplishing individual’s personal career objectives and goals. Some of the career programs provided by the organization to the general public include drop in advising, career counseling, and workshops by request, and resource libraries that support the population’s professional career development skills (A Career & Learning Resource Guide, 2016). In consideration of the organizational aspects of this institution, it is essential to point out that the staff members of this institution have been empowered with resources that assist them in establishing the best candidates in order to initiate approaches of meeting their needs.
