a) Why do you have only one day to paint a fresco?
Painting a fresco requires one day to paint because the plaster dries quickly. Unlike oil paints or acrylic paints, fresco paintings cannot be painted over, which makes every mark or stroke permanent. If the painter or artist is dissatisfied with the artwork, or a segment of the artwork, both paint and plaster must be scrapped off when still wet. If the artwork is already dried, it must be chipped off then the process starts all over again.
