Susan’s mixed media artwork comprises of pieces of clothing’s and buttons that have been sewn on a piece of linen canvas. The artwork is highly unique from other pieces of art, and the naivety of the artist is evidenced by the entire piece from the materials used for the childlike design of the artwork. The pieces of clothing sewed onto the linen canvas are irregularly shaped. Also, the stitches are unevenly spaced and irregular. Such irregularity resulted in the production of an artwork with a skewed perspective and uneven shapes, hence proving that the artist did not have even the basic formal training on how to create art pieces.
