The Wounded Knee was situated in the Pine Ridge in southwestern South Dokota. It is here that the dispute and clash between the North American Indians and the United States government representatives broke out. The 1890 massacre left about three hundred people dead including men, women, and children. Additionally, the conflict left about twenty-five soldiers killed and other injured. This paper evaluates the connections between the complaints of the Black Panther Movement and the American Indian Movement (AIM) and the relationship between AIM’s and Geronimo’s complaints.
Bobby Seale and Huey Newton established the Black Panther Party, which was intended at patrolling the African American neighborhoods with the goal of protecting the people from police brutality.
