After receiving the emails from the supposed wife, I had thought that the journey of Dr. Beck will be smooth. Dr. Beck would proceed to visit the police so that they can help him in identifying the sender of the email. The police will then help Dr. Beck in his efforts of identifying the killer. They will do so by identifying the location of the sender and proceed to look for the sender personally. As the police pursue the sender of the email, Dr. Beck will be involved in his own process of retracting his history and learning more on the history of her wife Elizabeth. He can do this by visiting relatives especially her parents.
After Dr. Beck has obtained as much information as possible on Elizabeth. He will then proceed to join up the dots and know on his own whether Elizabeth is alive or she is not alive. On their side, the police will have gone deep into their investigations and identified the sender of the email. If they realize that it is Elizabeth who sent the email, then they should investigate so that they can know the reasons why she has been silent for all that time.
