The process of identifying and selecting research studies for my literature review has been eye-opening due to the diverse learnings gained so far. The requirements of this study were slightly different from my past experiences because it needs careful exploration of materials in qualitative and quantitative niches. As a result, this experience has enabled me to become thorough while scanning the wealth of information in different databases on the university website and Google.
Although some aspects of the process have been easy due to my experience in research, others proved significantly challenging. For instance, I found creating appropriate keywords and search phrases straightforward because it encompasses manipulating the research topic. Moreover, finding the databases was easy because Google and Google Scholar remain easily accessible. However, it was slightly challenging to filter my searches to ensure the databases bring limited but significantly relevant resources. Other challenges emerged in the fast differentiation of qualitative and quantitative materials. Although Locke et al.
