Annotated Bibliography Instructions:

Prompt from the Professor:
Submit an MLA Works Cited page that lists at least 10 academic sources that you think may be useful for your Research Paper. After the citation of the source, explain its main point and why it will be useful for your Research Paper essay. Make sure citations are in alphabetical order and use hanging indents.
Use academic journals and academic books accessed through the library databases. Do not use newspaper, magazine, or internet articles. When you go to the library website, click on "Find Articles" then "Databases" - from there, I would recommend "OneSearch". From there, I recommend clicking "Advanced Search" and put in multiple search terms on multiple lines.
In my example below, I searched "technology" AND "people of color" AND "inequality". Then, on the left of the screen, I checked the box for "academic journals" and the box for "e-books" to ensure almost all of the results will be academic sources.
Before you list your sources, show the question that is guiding your research.
Below is an example of a question and one of the citations with annotation.

Research Question: What are the technological capabilities (this includes the equipment and abilities) of white residents compared to the technological capabilities of residents who are people of color?
Moran, Rachel E., and Matthew N. Bui. “Race, Ethnicity, and Telecommunications Policy Issues of Access and Representation: Centering Communities of Color and Their Concerns.” Telecommunications Policy, vol. 43, no. 5, June 2019, pp. 461–473. EBSCOhost, doi:10.1016/j.telpol.2018.12.005.
This academic article above explores connections between government and corporate policies concerning issues of digital access and representation and how they affect communities of color. This includes how the "digital divide" is affected by policies such as "net neutrality". I will use this piece to show the factual research that makes the case for inequality in the area that has the greatest potential to democratize equality.
Annotated Bibliography guidelines: Must be in Times New Roman Font Size 12 with 1 inch margins all around.

Notes from me to the writer.
* I uploaded the "An American Dream For All" Research Paper in the order form.
The two links below is the college database that the professor is referring to:
https://researchguides(dot)elac(dot)edu/databases
http://eds(dot)a(dot)ebscohost(dot)com/eds/search/basic?vid=0&sid=adbdb8e0-d442-4516-a3e6-23a6bef38921%40sessionmgr4008
Of course, it doesn't have to be just my college's library database as it can be from others as well.
Basically, what the professor wants is for us to be looking and searching through academic sources.
Thank you so much for all your time and may you have a Happy Thanksgiving.
