A major observation from chapter 4 is the popularity and dynamics of the American Dream. The dream is so popular among Americans that it is part of their ethos and culture. In fact, those who were born after the good times of the post war period were even scared and wondered if the dream will ever return. However, that popularity is not surprising because the American Dream has deeper roots and its tenets are found in the Declaration of Independence.
