As far back as I can recall, I have always responded to the question, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" with an answer related to the medical field. The specific response switched between being a radiologist, ophthalmologist, and emergency medicine. However, in 2008, I chose my career path as a medical assistant, and I have never looked back on that imperative choice. After completing my medical assistant training, I have worked as a medical assistant for three years. I have since assisted over ten Physicians, two Physician`s assistant and three Nurse practitioners in ensuring that there is optimal care of patients and the smooth running of daily activities.
