By staying married to someone is not all about staying in love with that person but maintaining the covenant. When a couple divorces, hey not only break the covenant but also misrepresent Christ and his covenant. It is the state of two people getting married. The bible defines marriage as a holy agreement before God. The couples sign a contract of commitment when they are officially married. The relationship is meant to fulfill religious, biological, social and psychological aims. * It is a connection between two people of the different sex and is based reciprocal obligations and rights. * Marriage establishes a family where the couple can procreate and bring up children. * Marriage is either associated with a civil or religious ceremony. * It has certain symbols used to signify marriage. Such symbols include social cloths, a ring, or vermillion. Monogamy: It is a kind of marriage where a man is married to one woman. It is popular in many communities around the globe. Monogamy is divided into straight and serial monogamy. Under straight monogamy, individuals are not allowed to remarry. In serial monogamy, an individual is permitted to remarry. Marriage is part of God's creation. God first created man and later gave him a companion who was to be referred to as a wife. A woman was designed to be a helper to the man. Marriage unites a man and a woman into one flesh: The woman was made from his flesh so that she could be equal to him. A man leaves his parents' home to be joined to his wife, thus becoming one flesh. A woman was created from the man; therefore, they are from the same origin.
