Globalization, modernity, and increased technology have all brought profound changes into the world. Not only has trade increased both or labor and commodities but has become even easier and faster to shop and get goods from any corner of the world. Globalization had reduced the world to become a global village where individuals share and exchange values, cultures, traditions cuisine, and other aspects at ease. To add up to globalization there has been another dominator where modernization has played a big part in changes experienced by regions. The impact of modernization and globalization has influenced religions behavior, cultural attributes, education, medicine aspects, technology, values, and knowledge. The most affected by this phenomenon are the growing economies and the third world countries who are experiencing these changes rapidly and in a short duration. One of the significant regions that have experienced a lot of change in a very short duration is the mainland China. Scholars and students around have gone to great length to study the regions and the changes that have taken place since the nation opened its borders to the international market. However, there are factors, themes, values and cultural things in China that not been affected by the wave of changes occurring in the region. The following texts are going to look at the other side of the story and analyses on what value are not changing in modern China.
Globalization is presenting an era which in broad context should be viewed in aspects of historical trends. Some believe the global event is has presented an honest restructuring of social organization and this has led to the mentality that we are living in a new world. However, in China, one notices that modernity and globalization have had a big impact on the nation and the experienced changes have had even a bigger impact on their values. There is a big change in the contemporary China the way of thinking among the people has remained the same, as the society seems to be ever anchored to the classical Yin Yang (Leung 185). There has been change in the society but this again can be observed to be the teleological concept of history that has for a long time been observed as nationalism and modernity (Zhang 350) The nation may be built on many aspects however; the population is still lingering on the past memories and in social justices that still haunt the Chinese community up to date. There have been trials to detach people from the wounded memories and at the same time, some take advantage of this landscape to gain political mileage and hence the society has ever remained of the horrors.
The Chinese open door policy that was implemented in 1978 has seen the nation get into contact with the global world getting influences in technologies, cultures, concepts from abroad and lifestyle. There been so many changes and China has modified its social business behavior but it is worth noting that China has maintained is paradoxes.
