American, French, and Haitian Revolutions
Revolution wars were properly orchestrated fights to liberate people from various chains of oppressions: economic, political, and social. After a long duration of struggles with multiple ailments in the societal structure, most people felt the need to unshackle themselves and their societies. Revolutions differed in various countries but had striking similarities in terms of how they happened and the responses people had towards them. Significant revolutions of history include the America, French, and Haitian that occurred in different years, with outstanding effects within those countries. This research investigates the similarities between the American, French, and Haitian Revolutions under the subjects of administration misdoings, the wars, and deaths.
Poor Administration
Administrative failures in all three regions led to discomfort within the masses. Americans had issues with the colonialists when the British rulers extended the authoritarian rule to the northern colony states. According to Wallace (2020), groups opposed the British administration's practice to expand their power to more regions while some sections stayed comfortable. The natives sent their message through influential individuals to the colonialists but never bore enough fruits. Later, militia groups emerged to oppose these, but the British government responded by deploying more soldiers to assert authority. This caused skirmishes leading to a full-blown war in 1776 when the French and Spanish troops joined the Americans to fight the British. In the same prism, the French revolution war pitched the people against their government. In economic spheres, the French government introduced heavy taxes to the people, forcing them to give out more from the meager earnings. The result was a highly burdensome way of life that farmers could not afford (Britannica, 2020). Charles Alexandre called a meeting to propel the tax changes' introduction but met by a revolt that triggered a fierce revolution.
The Haitian revolution aimed at ending the French control after a long struggle with the administration's rules. Interest sections developed from France during the French revolution and extended to regions they controlled. Sutherland (2007) posted that Haiti had large agricultural productions that formed the rulers' source of interest. Heavy taxes by the French were unbearable, leading to discomfort by the natives.
