The Hour of the Furnaces is one of the most powerful documentaries ever released in this century. The filmmakers' language focuses on an approach that emphasizes themes related to colonialism, nationality, racism, personal identity, revolution, and class. In the film, the audience meets with Fernando's style of creating political films, which derives its political message from aesthetic skills such as sound, narration style, juxtapositions, collages, and camera skills.
