Tarsier is a type of new world monkey that has several outstanding characteristics. Tarsiers majorly live in forests found in South Asian countries such as Indonesia and Malaysia. These animals prefer sleeping in dense tangle vegetations or tree cavities and can easily be located very close to the ground. Tarsiers are most known as only carnivorous primates that consume reptiles, birds, and insects. Additionally, tarsiers are nocturnal creatures, and they do not sleep at night. Further, these non-primates hunt their meals as the night begins. When done foraging, these primates spend the other section of the night traveling, resting, or engaging in social activities.
