The searched newspaper is The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and the week chosen is January 17, 1870, to January 24, 1870. Through the search, I found two articles on workplace accidents, which led to massive losses and people's death. The first article reports about an accident that happened in Cincinnati, Ohio, on a Saturday morning. A stone was reported to be about 100 feet long and 30 feet high, located on the third street. Due to the heavy rains affecting the area, the wall collapsed against a building adjacent to it. There was massive destruction of property and loss of life. The newspaper reports that a boy sleeping on a bed inside the house was killed due to the wall collapsing. The stone wall collapsing was reported on Monday evening, January 17, 1870.
