I am writing to address crime in the country and the possible interventions to take to end crime without gun control. The crime rate has been on the rise over recent years. Crimes bear an adverse effect on individuals, business growth, and the government in general. Crime is a complicated topic and area that requires sound and practical strategies to curb criminal activities. The criminals have advanced how they conduct their mischievous activities due to technological advancement brought by globalization. Through the law enforcement agencies, the government needs to hasten its efforts to end crimes at the State level. The judicial system should also implement stringent policies to convict individuals found guilty of criminal offenses. The effectiveness of the judiciary and the law enforcement agencies is vital in curbing crime rates in the United States. Deeper engagement of the security intelligence departments such as the FBI and Central Intelligence Agency is essential in providing adequate information and strategies to deal with the issue.
Crimes comprise various forms of activities that are intended to cause harm to destabilize peace and order. Some known forms of crime include cybercrime, human trafficking, youth crime, illegal possession of firearms, real estate crimes, and fraud. The impact of these crimes is shown in the figure in the appendix 1, which shows the extent of damage that crime has on the society.
The problem to address in this case is crimes. Reducing the crime rate in the country requires extensive and stringent policy formulation. As the critical stakeholder, the government should enhance the safety practices since the federal lawmakers have the capacity and ability to effectively implement safety policies in the country (Lopez). Gun violence and criminal activities are on the rise and should be effectively prevented for long-term future generations. These activities are all perpetuated through the black market as shown in the figure on appendix 2. Cybercrimes, for instance, involve child pornography and identity theft through the use of the internet. Human trafficking crimes also have adverse effects on individuals and society at large. Individuals who possess firearms illegally are also termed criminals. The unauthorized use of such weapons causes a risk to people and the general public. Trade of such guns in unauthorized means translates to crime. Fraudulent activities such as money laundering and tax fraud also constitute the crimes prevailing in the country. Organized criminals also engage in real estate acquisition and sale of property with proceeds from criminal activities.
The problem in place requires urgent solutions and policies to reduce crime rates in the country. Various solutions need the federal government to apply in combatting the crime rate in the country.
