Control and Ownership of Firearms
One of the current major political issues in America is control and firearm ownership among individuals. It refers to any legal actions that aim to control possession or gun usage. Researchers have encountered various challenges, such as difficulties collecting accurate data on how the state implemented multiple rules. Researchers need precise information to determine where and when gun rules were enacted before evaluating whether implementation of the regulations has resulted in variations in different outcomes. To clearly understand gun control and firearm ownership in America, an in-depth analysis of the situation is substantial. First, the typical leading story in evening news is violence (Watkins, 2019). Political campaigns, speeches, and political offices are dominated mainly by crime and its prevention. Violence acts have a significant impact on the victims and the general welfare of the community. The paper denotes the gun control problem and various alternatives and actions taken to address the issue.

Heinous events usually attract national attention, such as the killing of 49 people in the Orlando nightclub in 2016 and the elementary school in Newton where 20 children and six adults were massacred (Duignan, 2018). During the time, there was a short and fruitless discussion about enacting stricter gun control measures. Politicians from major political parties feared retaliation from the NRA and offered their thoughts and prayers to the affected people. However, they failed to enact reasonable and constitutional measures that could prevent such scenarios in the future, such as expanding the background check for firearm purchase and reinstating the federal ban on assault weapons.
Gun control is about individuals' ability to control their gun usage and not liking or disliking guns. It mainly involves determining the effectiveness of gun control, especial...
