An ethnic group is a group of people who share a set of socio-cultural traits and racial affinities. Customs and traditions distinguish ethnic groups and there is Japanese temple dedicated to the sun god, and an important part of the Japanese culture. Ethnic groups mostly have a common origin, history, and tradition that unites the people and this extends to language, customs, beliefs, and values that are part of their cultural heritage. The Ritan Park 日坛公园 (Park) in Beijing symbolizes the Sun God. Ritan Park is a good example of a traditional Chinese park, but the government's to preserve and protect the site may result in the deterioration of an important cultural site.
The Ritan Park is a reflection of tradition and representative culture of the people who believed in the sun god. Ethnicity is closely linked with socio-cultural factors and one way to evaluate people’s understanding of themselves is to consider their history and culture. Tradition show a people’s of life, including the peculiar aspects of the culture. Any cultural heritage site is part of the past and people’s culture of the people, to be appreciated for its characteristics and deserves to be protected. At the XiTian Gate 西天门 there were artists with their artwork, and there were signs and symbols in the semi-cursive script that reflect aspects of Chinese culture. Ritan Park is no longer a place of worship like in the past, but still, it was an important place for the emperors, and both the government and the people need to protect the park.
