Statistical Test β Paired Sample T-Test
(NO TITLE PAGE OR CITATIONS REQUIRED)
You will determine your statistical analyses (and rationale for its use) using the following information.
Topic: The effect of heat on aggression
Hypothesis: Heat will increase aggression
Independent Variable: Heat
Dependent Variable: Aggression

Sample: 60 adults (30 male, 30 female; ages 20 - 40, mean = 30; 60% Caucasian, 20% African American, 10% Hispanic, 5% Asian, 5% Other) gathered from various states on the east coast.
Operationalized IV: Temperature Operationalized DV: Number of punches
Procedure:Participants met separately with the experimenter a quiet room during the summer. They sat at a desk in a cushioned chair with the room at one of two temperatures: hot (about 90 degrees) or cold (about 65 degrees), depending on their condition. In the center of the room was a blow-up doll that would bounce back to the normal condition when punched. The Informed Consent Form was signed first, which indicated that the current study was about aggression. Next, participants were asked to punch the doll as much as they would like for 30 seconds. The number of punches was recorded by the experimenter. After the 30 seconds, participants were thanked and debriefed.
Design: a) experimental, b) between-subjects, c) single blind

To the writer, their are three columns ID, Hot Temperature, Cold Temperature
when I send it may com jumbled up but for each ID number their two numbers to follow under their columns For example: ID (1) 25 goes under hot temp and 10 goes under cold temp and so forth.
ID Hot Temperature Cold Temperature
1 25 10
2 20 15
3 24 13
4 10 20
5 42 30
6 30 23
7 41 35
8 54 22
9 43 25
10 36 10
*Note: The above numbers indicate how many times the participant punched the doll!

Statistical Test – Paired Sample T-test
It is a well-known fact in the field of research that determining the appropriate statistical test in interpreting a series of data is essential in order to make sense of how different variables relate to one another. Despite this importance, understanding which tests should be used is difficult due to the multiplicity of factors and the complexity of the processes behind the methodology of the study. Accordingly, in this study entitled ‘The Effect of Heat on Aggression’, the author believes that the most appropriate test is a ‘paired sample t-test’. The next section discusses why this is the most appropriate test.
